Li Xiangqun

This sculpture is like a standard profile of ancient Chinese sages: a slender yet forceful figure with a humble gesture of courtesy indicated by placing one hand over another in front of the chest. Even though we can’t see his eyes, we are able to feel his overpowering wisdom. The spiritual practitioner, as depicted here in succinct sculptural language, is a symbol of traditional oriental culture. His unique charisma of optimism, integrity and perseverance has long been honored throughout time. The long history of this figure is, on the other hand, an aloof refection of the limitlessness of life.
