Chen Gang
Chen Gang was born in 1957 in Wuxi, Jiangsu Province. Currently member of the council of the Association of Sculptors in Jiangsu Province, graduate tutor at the School of Design, Jiangnan University; and a member of the China Artists Association.
The common scene of a young girl jumping a rope with her dog projects a grand topic in a joyful manner: the harmony existing between humans and nature and their interdependence on one another. The work inspires us to care for life and cherish peace. The artist reconstructs this touching scene with realistic composition and lively flowing lines. The brisk jump of the puppy corresponds well with the youthful vitality of the girl in a peaceful harmony.
